1. Not Investment Advice
Adaptive Investing does not provide investment advice. All scores, ratings, analyses, research summaries, and other outputs of the Service are for informational and educational purposes only. Nothing on this platform is, or should be construed as:
- A recommendation to buy, sell, hold, or otherwise transact in any security;
- An offer or solicitation to buy or sell any security;
- Investment, financial, tax, or legal advice of any kind;
- An endorsement of any company, investment strategy, or financial product.
A score is a mechanical output of a fixed rubric, the same rubric for every company, applied to financial data — a starting point for your own research, not a verdict on what you should do.
Hard gates. Today, three deterministic caps can limit a score, however the company measures elsewhere in the rubric: excessive share dilution (share count up more than 25% over three years), high net debt relative to free cash flow (net debt more than five times positive free cash flow), and a negative gross margin. Each one that applies caps the score at a fixed ceiling.
Descriptive bands. Each score is shown with a band: Strong, Solid, Mixed, Weak, or Poor fit with the rubric. A band describes how a company measures against the rubric. It is not a buy, sell, or hold recommendation.
Not personalized. Scores come from a fixed rubric, applied consistently, and are identical for every visitor. They are not personalized and are not tailored to your objectives, financial situation, or needs. We do not answer individual investment questions.
2. Not a Registered Investment Advisor
Adaptive Investing is not a registered investment advisor, broker-dealer, financial planner, commodity trading advisor, or any other licensed financial professional, and is not registered with or regulated by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), any U.S. state securities regulator, or any foreign financial regulator. Use of the Service does not create an advisory, fiduciary, or broker-client relationship of any kind.
3. Risk Disclosures
3.1 General investment risk
All investments involve risk, including the possible loss of principal. The value of investments can go down as well as up. Risks include, among others, market risk, company-specific risk, liquidity risk, inflation risk, interest-rate risk, concentration risk, regulatory risk, and geopolitical risk.
3.2 Limitations of the scoring model
- The scoring model is not a predictor of future stock performance. A high score does not guarantee returns; a low score does not mean a stock will decline.
- No model captures every factor that affects a stock price; the model may not adequately reflect certain industries, conditions, or company-specific factors.
- Scores are point-in-time assessments and may not reflect material changes after they are generated.
- The model has not been independently audited or validated by any regulatory body or research firm.
3.3 AI and algorithmic limitations
The Service does not currently use artificial intelligence to generate scores; scoring is deterministic. No data is sent to any AI provider today, and AI features are disabled in our code unless we explicitly enable them. We plan to introduce AI-assisted analysis for certain qualitative categories, using large language models such as those provided by Anthropic. If and when those features launch, AI can produce inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading output, and may "hallucinate" plausible-sounding but false information, so AI-generated analyses should always be independently verified.
3.4 Data limitations
Financial data is obtained from third-party sources (including a licensed market-data provider, SEC EDGAR, and, where macroeconomic data is shown, FRED) and may contain errors or omissions, be delayed, or differ from authoritative sources such as company filings. See Section 7 and our Errors & Corrections page.
4. No Guarantee of Results
There is no guarantee that use of this Service will result in profitable investments or that you will not lose money. Past performance of any stock, score, or analysis does not guarantee future results. We make no representation that any high-scoring stock will rise, that any strategy based on the Service will be profitable, or that the Service will meet your particular objectives.
5. Consult a Professional
Before making any investment decision, you should conduct your own independent research and due diligence and consult a licensed financial advisor (and, as appropriate, a tax professional or attorney) who can evaluate your individual situation, goals, risk tolerance, and time horizon. The Service is not a substitute for professional advice tailored to your circumstances.
6. Specific Disclaimers
Forward-looking information. Analyses involving earnings estimates, projected growth, or fair-value ranges are based on publicly available data and assumptions, carry significant uncertainty, and are not predictions of actual results.
SEC filing summaries. If and when AI-generated summaries of SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, etc.) are introduced, they may be incomplete, inaccurate, or misleading. Always consult the original filings at SEC EDGAR for authoritative information.
Market and competitor data. Market-size estimates, competitive analyses, and industry data are derived from public sources (and, if and when introduced, AI research) and may not reflect actual conditions.
7. Data Sources and Timeliness
Company filings. Source: SEC EDGAR. Filing data comes from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's public EDGAR system. The SEC has not reviewed, approved, or endorsed Adaptive Investing, its scores, or its use of this data.
Market data. Prices and fundamentals come from a licensed market-data provider, when live scoring is available.
Macroeconomic data. Where macroeconomic data appears, it comes from Federal Reserve Economic Data (FRED). This product uses the FRED® API but is not endorsed or certified by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. See the FRED API terms of use.
Timeliness. Prices and other market data shown on the Service are end-of-day or delayed, not real-time. The Service does not provide live or streaming quotes and is not suitable for decisions that depend on current prices. Financial-statement data reflects the latest periods reported in company filings and can lag events by weeks or months.
